Jason and Medea are the only children of the Hel family, born in a world of luxury and extravagance. While neither Dominic or Augusta are mages, they both met at Everthorne twenty-some years ago and have been almost inseparable since.

The twins grew up happy, almost blessedly so. Aside from life's small setbacks, no major tragedies ever fell upon the house. Jason and Medea both had a healthy interest in their studies, perhaps Jason a little more so than Medea. Medea's main interests lay in the parties and the events carried out throughout Reyse.

So when it came time for the nineteenth name day and the testers arrived, the whole family expected if not both of their children to attend Everthorne, then certainly it would be Jason.

Which, of course, was not the case. Medea showed great promise to the testers, and Jason none at all. They left, and the twins resumed their lives. Or at least, Medea did. Jason was shocked that his sister rather than him would be attending the academy, and as the months passed until the term, his jealousy became increasingly apparent.

Now, Medea enters Everthorne determined to do her best and graduate a Mage, along with a tiny bit of guilt growing inside of her that Jason has helped plant.

Medea is competitive. Growing up she has always wanted to be the one who does it best and first, and with her brother the two have managed to strike a balance between what one can do and what the other cannot. This competitive streak has carried over to her friendships as well, and Medea certainly loves to see if she or her friends can get what they want before the other.

Despite her thirst for competition and success, Medea enjoys speaking to people and making friends where she can. She's sociable, and while not always likable, will spend time with anyone willing or wanting.

Medea stands at an average height for a woman, with excellent posture and auburn hair that falls over her shoulders and down her back. Her eyes are a dark brown.
